ABOUT ME

My full name is Nam Phuong Dang, and that was where I got the idea of the pen name, "PhDang" -- a combination of both my middle name, along with my last. I am Vietnamese-American, who loves a good sense of humor. Disclaimer: I am not using the name in any way shape or form to prove that I am an intelligent individual who is better than anyone, or even to go as far as getting a "PhD" in anything to brag, really. It's just that, an alias. This brings me to my next point. Why am I writing a novel?  I am doing this to broaden my skills, and build a strong foundation of what I like to call "individualism." Oh, and it would be bloody cool to be published in something other than poetry as well -- my very own novel. As a writer, I am rather new and still developing my skills -- my first book ever written. One could even say, I am in the learning process of things, and growing as an individual. I still have time. I am young, and would like to try out a lot of things. This bucket list conveniently happens to be one of them. 

I am expected to finish my first novel in about a year, give or take the amount of availability of time I have. Hopefully, I can get this published and finally say that I too am also an author. If you guys have the extra time, go and check out my [very short] light novel, and I will try to update those along with the main novel I am writing as well.
